God has impressed upon us that we need to “tell the story” as we distribute funds for His Glory. When we provide a grant to an individual, the only requirement is the submittal of a post-trip report. This mission report will be posted on the website to tell the story of how the visited community was impacted and how the individual was impacted. Our streamlined mission application is intended for assisting individuals that are going on missions trips. Organizations seeking to fund projects related to these trips should submit the Grant Application in addition.

Requirements

Applicants are required to complete our Missions Application, which includes a detailed narrative explaining the mission trip, your sponsor’s information, and your commitment to write a Kingdom Impact report following your trip.

Part I: Applicant Information

A portion of SPKB resources is given to missions, recognizing efforts and plans which emphasize the sharing of the Gospel as the main focus of their personal service. This section provides us with your contact information, dates of the mission trip, and the amount requested.

Part II: Detailed Narrative

Submit a detailed narrative, providing the concept of the mission trip. Please include your personal reasons for going on this trip, and a description of the project or program, explaining goals, benefits and expected outcomes.

Part III: Sponsor Information

SPKB gives donations to other 501(c)(3) organizations and churches who embrace a vision to honor God. Our intent is to direct funds to your sponsoring church or organization for distribution towards your mission trip. We also request Sponsor contact information, including the Sponsor’s EIN number.

Part IV: Signatures

The signatures section requires the Applicant’s signature certifying the information is true, and agreement to submit a Kingdom Impact report following the trip. The Sponsor’s signature attests that the representative is in compliance with the statement provided.

Kingdom Impact Report This report details the project, the project expectations and outcomes, and use of funds. Please talk about how the trip fulfilled your personal needs and prayers, as well as the people you were administering to. This is your intimate witness and portrayal of how God was there to help you share Jesus.

Consider:

  1. Community need
  2. Outcomes and benefits of your goals
  3. Long term benefit to the people impacted
  4. Any support from Ministry, directors or local governance
  5. Financial accountability of funds

This report is due within 1 month after the mission trip is completed. Reports are to be sent to the SPKB President via email.

The Board of Directors for SPKB is solely responsible for the policies and procedures required to distribute funds. The Board may direct advisors to review applications and make recommendations. Final decisions rest with the Board of SPKB and could vary from the recommendation from the committee or advisors.

Wire transfer information, in some instances, may be required for transfer of funds.
