Writing Checks on Napkins

After our trip to Mexico, and in the early days of preparing the way for our Kingdom Builders Foundation, I had this dream. It was in a timeframe where we were on a rollercoaster ride every week. We had times of great advancement, then times of being in a stall with nothing happening. It was during one of those stall periods that this dream took place. I kept questioning my role and what God was wanting from me.

In the dream, a small group of people were leading me into a beautifully furnished room, I believed it to be a meeting room at a fancy hotel. I was wearing a very sharp business suit with a skirt, it was extremely comfortable, and fit neatly.

Once inside, I saw a large group of people milling around in small, pleasant conversations, eating hors d’oeuvres. I felt I knew these people, somehow indirectly, and they were very glad to see me. I also felt like I was the reason they were all gathered. I began writing checks for various amounts to them however, I was not using a checkbook with traditional checks. I was hand-writing checks on napkins, envelopes and any scrap paper I could find. It was understood by everyone that these checks were good no matter what material I wrote them on. I had a very substantial account to cover any check I wrote. It felt incredible and took my breath away a little knowing that no matter how many checks I wrote, I would not run out of money. I could help every single person that came to me in need!

God knew, in the midst of the pains of getting a Foundation stood up, I needed a small glimpse of where we were headed. The fact that I wore business appropriate clothes that were extremely comfortable, told me that the business of carrying out God’s plan will be very natural and easy for me. I felt the assurance of His promise to provide for everyone who trusts Him. I needed to trust Him now, so that others can subsequently be blessed by His resources.
